About ten percent of France's waste is reused as fuel, not ninety percent. They haven't figured out what to do with the remainder of the waste. Go to www.beyondnuclear.org to see a report on France and reprocessing. The French reprocessing facility at La Hague releases significant amounts of radiation into the air and into the sea. Since this seems to be a major issue with Mr. Franz, and, since he is so wrong, I'd think twice about voting for him.
When you get your facts from a website that starts off with, "working for a world free from nuclear power and nuclear weapons", I think your information will be slightly biased. But you tried and that's what counts. The USA should be on top of developing this nuclear technology instead of sliding millions of subsidy dollars to an energy source that works as the wind blows. Why not work with that we know will generate substantive power and perfect it so that it will be the future. 3rd and 4th generation nuclear plants are able to use more and more of their waste, but in the US we are stuck at 1st and 2nd generation plants with a lot of wind turbines that don't have consistent power. But that's just me, and like I said, 4 years later at least you tried.
