Fred Johnson is by far the best candidate for this position. In the recently televised debate/forum on WOOD TV8, it was very apparent that he has more knowledge of the issues, is willing to work across the aisle and has the life experience that will bring a new perspective to Washington. His 11 years as a United States Marine and 10 years as an Associate Professor of History at Hope College have given him insight to just a couple of the major issues facing our district and our country from an unique viewpoint. Fred Johnson understands all of the people of the 2nd Congressional District, not just the small percentage of the wealthy that live here. It is time for a new voice for this district, OUR VOICE. Fred Johnson will bring that to Washington and has the courage to stand up for us. I encourage you to vote for Fred Johnson for Congress on November 2nd!

Michigan has a real opportunity for change with this race. Do we really want the same old same old that we've had for decades. The same old tired ideas haven't been working. Fred Johnson is our chance for real change in this district. Unlike Huizenga who has had huge piles of Republican party money dumped into his campaign, Johnson has had to raise money and support the old fashioned, hard work, grass roots campaigning kind of way.

Fred Johnson has real world leadership experience as a prior US Marine captain. He's worked 9 to 5 jobs; he knows what its like to work for a living. Now, as a US History professor at Hope College he knows America's history and educational system. As an author about educational practices he'...s helped shape minds and ideas about better education methods in America. Plus he has the added benefit of not being a 16 year DC or Lansing fixture like his opponent, Huizenga, who's only legislative accomplishment is sponsoring and passing a law that denied overtime benefits to some Michigan workers.

Looks like Johnson's campaign team has been typing up emails, ha-ha. I'm gonna side with Huizenga over Johnson. Some people asking for a time for change seem to forget that the area was great 12 years ago before Granholm took over. Things have steadily been on the decline since. If you want a change, remove the top of the chain and replace with someone more competant. It's been kind of hard to help West Michigan out when our Governor keeps taking away the incentive to operate a business in Michigan. Glad Granholm will be out this time.
