No need for special panels or commissions to "look in to it". The county has done their best to rubber stamp this project through without any concern for landowner opinion. So why create another panel to be a unpaid shill for Consumers...?
Should be interesting to follow. Will money be spent wisely or will any of the panelists and/or their family/friends businesses get awarded contracts with the money. Lots of potential for abuse, hope they get it right.
Thanks Consumers, for a nice "bribe" to get your agenda obtained here even though the public doesn't want it.
Oh brother, this is going to turn into another fine mess. i.e. No one will be happy no matter what they do.
HEY, I HAVE AN IDEA!! LET'S USE THAT MONEY TO CONVERT THE BADGER TO PROPANE AND SAVE THE FATE OF LUDINGTON!! NO CARFERRY, NO CITY...
It's still a BRIBE!!! The community won't be given the funds unless and until the windfarm actually is "operational and produces energy"...counting their chickens before they are hatched so to speak. Good Luck Ludington!!
Here we go a few hand picked people with ties to the county board members to pass out hundreds of thousands to pet projects that help no one. This is a no good way to spend this bride money. Have a fifty fifty drawings until its all gone...........
Here's an idea on how to spread the bribe money. Wait until the aesthetics of the area is ruined by the wind behemoths, get 2 million one dollar bills, and release around 40,000 bills from the top of each of the turbines simultaneously on a very windy day.
I think that the panel should find some kind of guarenteed return investment and use that money for the childen in Ludington, weather it be sports, schooling, or anything else for the kids. But I am sure it will go to some non-deserving group pulling the same kind of shenanigans that Ludington is used to.
