A short Constitutional lesson for former Rep. Hoekstra. Budgets must originate in the House of Representatives, not the Senate. Therefore his request is really that the Senate should approve the House budget. Given the two differing majorities in the two chambers that appears unlikely. In the interest of fair play perhaps he could also call for the House to concur with the Senate amendments. Either way would get a budget.

What is the LDN's repeated interest in Pete Hoekstra...? Quit trying to keep him in public eye for his senate run. We will be hearing enough of his tired spiel in six months. He did NOTHING for us when he was in office ---give it a rest, LDN !
