I only have ONE question....WHERE IS KATE????

dianabee on February 23, 2012 at 8:53 AM

what could they possibly have before the appeals court? are there any lawyers out there who can speculate? the courts are not protecting The child. Where is Kate? Is the appeal court needed for a plea deal? Dimissal?

This has to be the most bizarre story of the year. It will be interesting when everything unravels, if it ever does. Law enfacement must have some idea regarding the status and whereabouts of the child. It is hard to believe that in the few short hours the suspect allegedly had the baby, he had enough time to hide her so well. There is certainly allot more going on than what is being released to the press, and being reported in the news.

The prosecutor is probably asking how he can convict this guy without having any evidence. Personally, I think both parents sold the baby to a couple unable to have a child of their own.

Dianabee: It is not up to the courts to "protect the child." There are other agencies for that, assuming the child needs protection. Because there is no child, just what do you expect the courts to do? John Galt: ITA. I think the police are playing this one close to the vest, waiting for Ariel or her mother to crack. Regarding the many postponements: what happened to a person's right to a fair and speedy trial? Furthermore, I wonder where this trial could take place. Talk about a big change of venue!

I agree that he didn't have the time to drop off the baby at an adoption agency. How far from Ludington could he have driven? Not far. If he gave the baby to friends or family, they didn't keep the baby for long. I do think something worse than parental kidnapping happened here. Phillips isn't talking, too much time has past now, law enforment and prosecuters are stuck--the best they could do was charge this guy with kidnapping.

Unfortunately Kate was probably killed and buried in the woods somewhere. If the suspect doesn't talk and there are no witnesses then the child's body may never be found. That's just the way it is, real life isn't like Law & Order where he's going to confess or break down and admit everything if we can just get him to trial.

Once again, I agree with Dilbert. Kate was sold. It was all prearrainged by both parents. I hope she is with decent people.

one detail that they failed to release is that at the time the baby disappeared so did one of seans sibilings and hasnt been heard from since. At first the parents were also uncooperative with police as to the details in the case of seans where abouts. Sean also has family ties in three rivers michigan and had other connections in other surronding states. I think it is very possible that Kate is long gone and was probably dressed as to appear to be a boy which could easily have been pulled off. All i can really hope is that she is safe warm being loved and taken care of. i could honestly care less where she is as long as the necessary things are being done that a child needs. Sean wouldnt harm her I dont think. just my thoughts.
