I'm curios as to what evidence actually swayed the guilty verdict. To me from what I had been reading about the trial, there was plenty of doubt to him being guilty. The mother states he took baby Kate but there is no evidence to say he did only her word. And what really bothered me was if he had harmed or disposed of baby Kate why was he only worried about hiding the illegal fireworks and not the clothes, baby seat and diaper bag.

I've said before that Phillips killed his daughter and would rather go to prison on this charge than murder. Now he's been found guilty on this charge. To Phillips, He's willing to spend a maximum of 15 years in prison if it means he can keep his mouth shut about the fact that he killed his daughter. It's worth the time to him.

Phillips only claimed he was worried about hiding the fireworks. He got sloppy with the clothes and the bag. When Casey Anthony killed her daughter, her mother stated that her car smelled like there had been a dead body in it.
