To bad the fire dept didn't post a fire watch, they could have saved most of the structure. They thought they had the fire out and reported to neighbors that all was clear and that they tarped everything in the house for further protection. At that point the house was badly damaged but salvagable. Apparently the Manistee city police chief gave the all clear and they left,,,,every one,,,no refalsh watch. Approximately 20 minutes later it reflashed and is now a total loss. What a blunder and shame. After the reflash the neighbors house to the west was also damaged from the heat.
