Doesn't sound reasonable that in this economic crisis environment, that the township can afford to quibble over a scant amount like this. It also turns business people off to invest in the township. Where's the thinking cap on this type of behavior? Shame on you PM Twnshp. officials, quit being too greedy, our taxes need reductions, and instead, you act like this when opportunity knocks?

It seems like the Twp board would welcome the income from the land sale and also the property taxes that would move from the city to the township. We should do what we can to support a local business expansion.

The township never did say what the asking price was either, but, from the scant info. avail by the LDN, it would appear it wasn't much more than the $50K offer. Even if it was a $10K difference, having the land sold and having another new taxpayer sure is more efficient and economical to all involved. Shame on the PM Township for this financial debacle. What are you people thinking?
