Who will be left with the floating Hazardous Waste Ship when the EPA shuts them down in the future, and LMC files for bankruptcy?
Kind of a snarky agreement all around, but good to finally see. This is what responsible citizenry can look like.
The LMC has known about this for years and they have been just delaying the change for years. The owners need to get their egos in check and just do the change. They cant keep hoping for extensions forever.
Perhaps an interesting survey in paper might be A. So you think Ferry will end coal dumping by 2014 B. Do you think Ferry will not do much and shut down if not granted another dumping permit after 2014. C. Do you think Ferry will run after 2014 on environmentally clean basis.
Here we go again with a bunch of naysayers and people with their undies in a twist. Who says the EPA will still be around in another 2-3 years either? I'll bet you Turkeys that commented above have never even taken a trip on the Badger. Maybe it's time you did, if you don't get sea sick, hardy har. You can only appreciate it once you have set sail on her, she's a modern day wonder that we need to support, and be proud of, else, go back to Deeeetroit, where you can have clean air again, right?
Why denigrate Detroit? Good people live everywhere.
